Phoenix in Bloom Necklace by Asuka Saito This necklace is made with a traditional technique of Tsumami-Kanzashi, traditional Japanese folded flowers, made from small square fabric, that are worn by women as hair ornaments in traditional hairstyles. By the idea of phoenix that is a symbol of perpetuity, this necklace is expressed the Swarovski crystal's everlasting sparkle and the traditional technique handed down to the present day. Musubi Head Jewelry by Asuka Saito This head jewelry is created by arranging Japanese traditional techniques, Tsumami-zaiku and Mizuhiki-zaiku with Swarovski crystal. The inspiration of wedding cakes and beautiful decorative cakes bring up the idea of Mizuhiki that plays an important role in Japanese culture as a symbol of affection, warmth, and togetherness. Mizuhiki knots are closely associated with the Japanese word MUSUBI (meaning Connection or Tying) because tying a Mizuhiki knot connects people and ties them together. Raindrops Pendant by Asuka Saito These raindrops pendants are inspired by the quote, "Maybe raindrops are the bravest thing created by God. Want to know why? It is because they are never afraid of falling." These pendants bring people who live hard or work hard in each society to encourage in various situations. They can be worn individually or collectively on the chain, with any color combination. A shape of raindrops and slide set enhance crystal fancy stones which are designed with precise machine-cut facet patterns that produce the signature Swarovski sparkle. Zen Garden Necklace by Asuka Saito Japanese gardens provided inspiration to this necklace. Garden design is an important Japanese art form that has been refined for more than a thousand years. The necklace is depicted by the technique of Japanese traditional Tsumami Zaiku, a craft made from small and square-cut pieces of cloth that are pinched and folded with tweezers, and European Soutache, a narrow and flat braid in a herringbone pattern usually used as the trimming of drapery or clothing. The center flowers are attachable with a magnet. |
